LYNDONVILLE — A 24-year-old Sutton man has been cited for leaving the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Main Street.
Blake Belanger was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Criminal Court on Aug. 18 at 8:30 a.m., according to a Lyndonville Police Department press release.
Police responded to the reported crash at the intersection of U.S. Route 5 and Vermont Route 114 on June 21 at approximately 2:46 p.m.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash fled the scene, police said.
Investigation revealed the other vehicle was a 2011 Subaru Legacy with Vermont registration KVS816.
Police later located Belanger, who owned the vehicle and was determined to be the operator at the time of the crash.
Belanger was also issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for operating without liability insurance.
