HALFMOON, NY — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office received an animal complaint Wednesday at 10:56 p.m. at a residence in the town of Halfmoon.
The investigation led to the arrest of Allison M. Fisher, 23, and Livia L.A. Boddie, 21, both of Halfmoon.
They were each charged with three counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals and failure to provide proper sustenance, class A misdemeanors.
Fisher and Boddie are accused of failing to provide proper sustenance to a husky mix and two cats.
Fisher reportedly discovered the dog deceased in their vehicle on the date of the call.
The cats were voluntarily turned over to the Halfmoon animal control officer and taken to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter for evaluation and treatment.
The official cause of death for the dog is pending.
Fisher and Boddie were released on appearance tickets pending proceedings in Halfmoon Town Court.
