CAMBRIDGE — A Waterville man was cited Wednesday afternoon following a police pursuit on VT Route 15 near Wells Farm Drive.
According to Vermont State Police, a trooper with the Williston Barracks observed a vehicle traveling on VT Route 15 at 1:38 p.m.
The vehicle reportedly passed the trooper and nearly collided head-on with oncoming traffic.
When the trooper attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop, the operator fled the scene.
A short time later, the trooper located the vehicle and again tried to make a stop, but the operator did not comply.
The vehicle eventually stopped, and the driver was identified as Joshua J. Davis, 33, of Waterville.
Davis was issued a citation to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court – Criminal Division on July 9 for charges of negligent operation and attempting to elude law enforcement.
