ENOSBURG — A two-vehicle collision on West Berkshire Road near residence #322 sent two drivers home with minor injuries Wednesday morning and left both vehicles with substantial damage, according to Vermont State Police.

The crash occurred around 10:25 a.m. while skies were cloudy and roads were dry.

Troopers said a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Sharon Ploof, 73, of Enosburg, was heading south on West Berkshire Road and attempting to turn into a driveway on the east side of the road.

A 2018 Toyota Rav 4, operated by Debra Wetherby, 68, of Richford, was headed north when Ploof’s vehicle crossed into her lane.

Police said Wetherby’s vehicle broadsided the Equinox, causing it to veer off the road and strike a mailbox.

Both Ploof and Wetherby were wearing seat belts.

Ploof received possibly minor injuries, and Wetherby suffered a minor leg injury.

Neither driver was transported to the hospital.

Both vehicles were significantly damaged and required tow trucks for removal.

Enosburg rescue and fire departments assisted at the scene.
