Crash in Marshfield leads to charges

MARSHFIELD — A 65-year-old man from Worcester was killed during a crash in Marshfield on Thursday.

The two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger car took place on Cemetery Hill Road at around 10:00 a.m.

Police say both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were flown to UVM Medical in Burlington and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for life-threatening injuries.

Both drivers were transported to Central Vermont Medical Center for injuries.

Following an investigation, police allege that David Garneau, 43, of Worcester, was suspected to be impaired by intoxicants other than alcohol.

Garneau was issued a citation to appear in court to answer to the charge of negligent operation and DUI – drug.
