Man wanted after theft, pulling knife on police in Marshfield

MARSHFIELD — A 35-year-old man from Barre was arrested following an incident in Marshfield yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified that a man was attempting to steal gas at the Marshfield Village Store at around 10:10 p.m.

When bystanders confronted the man, police say he threatened them with a knife.

The man was later identified as Kyle Bressette, who had an active warrant for his arrest.

Police say when they arrived in the area, they located Bressette who ran away from police.

While running from police, police say Bressette pulled a knife on responding troopers.

Bressette was able to evade police and was currently missing.

State police are requesting the public’s assistance in attempting to locate Bressette.

Anyone with information regarding Bressette’s current location is being asked to contact the Vermont State Police Berlin barracks.
