SCOTRUN, PA — A man was arrested on drug and driving under the influence charges following a reported assault call on March 5.
Officers of the Pocono Township Police Department responded to Moyer Court at approximately 3:27 p.m. for a report of an assault.
Officers were given information that the perpetrator was Jason Labar, who possessed an active warrant and was driving a silver Mitsubishi Outlander.
A check of the name yielded a Jason Labar, 35, of Stroudsburg, who possessed an active warrant out of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, officers determined that no assault had taken place, but Labar had been there minutes before and had just left.
Labar returned to the house in the described Outlander a short time later and was taken into custody.
Through an investigation, it was determined that Labar was under the influence of methamphetamine and possessed an additional 1.7 grams on his person.
Labar was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility and placed in their custody due to the warrant.
Labar was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and ungraded misdemeanors for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
