COLCHESTER, VT — A traffic stop on Interstate 89 led to the arrest of a St. Albans man on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Troopers observed a vehicle traveling 94 mph in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 89 northbound near mile marker 95.0 at about 9:24 p.m. July 7.
The driver was identified as Troy L. Mcilwain, 37, of St. Albans.
Troopers detected signs of impairment during the stop.
Mcilwain was processed at the Williston Barracks and released with a citation to appear in Chittenden County court on July 28 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to a charge of first-offense DUI.
