WATERBURY, CT — Officers from the Waterbury Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit arrested a man on drug charges June 29, 2026, following complaints about narcotics activity and trespassing.
Police were conducting patrol in the area of 33 High Street in response to numerous complaints from the community.
Officers observed Rafael Salgado, 59, of Waterbury, trespassing on the property and conducted a stop.
During the investigation, officers seized crack cocaine and 30 bags of heroin.
Salgado was charged with trespass in the third degree, tampering with evidence and two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
