BLAIRSVILLE, PA — A Trafford woman faces multiple charges after allegedly failing to complete a roof replacement job for which she was paid.

Nickie Perenyi, 50, of Trafford, was arrested by the Blairsville Borough Police Department on charges of home improvement fraud, theft by deception and receiving stolen property.

According to police, a 65-year-old Blairsville resident paid Perenyi $2,500 in December for a roof replacement that was never started.

The victim made several attempts to get her money back, but Perenyi failed to refund the payment, police said.

Charges were filed June 25, 2026, at District Magistrate Robert Bell’s office, and a warrant was obtained for Perenyi’s arrest.

Hours after the warrant was issued, the Trafford Police Department took Perenyi into custody.

Perenyi was lodged in the Indiana County Jail and arraigned before District Judge Anthony Sottile.

She was released on $5,000 bond.
