Man arrested on warrants in Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants following a traffic stop on Lynch Street.

Quincy DeJesus, 29, of Providence, was taken into custody at 9:18 p.m., according to Rhode Island State Police.

DeJesus was wanted on a Providence County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pre-arraignment conference on an original charge of manufacturing/delivery/possession with intent to deliver fentanyl – 1 ounce to 1 kilogram, originating from the State Police Narcotics Unit.

He also was wanted on two Third Division District Court bench warrants for failure to appear for pretrial conferences on original charges of driving after suspension of license, originating from the State Police Wickford Barracks and Hope Valley Barracks.

DeJesus was transported to State Police headquarters, where he was processed.

He was later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
