BROOKVILLE, NY — Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a stabbing at an equestrian center on the LIU Post campus.
The Brookville Police Department was notified June 20, 2026, by Glen Cove Hospital staff of a stabbing victim receiving treatment for injuries sustained during an incident the previous evening at the North Shore Equestrian Center.
The investigation determined that an altercation occurred between two roommates who were both employed at the facility.
The victim sustained a stab wound to the clavicle area and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are seeking Eddy Javier Villalobos Novoa, 44, of Brookville, who is expected to be charged with criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Villalobos Novoa is asked to call 911 immediately and not approach him.
