EASTON, PA — A man was arrested after police responded to a burglary in progress on June 21, 2026.
Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of North Delaware Drive at approximately 8:07 p.m. after receiving a report of a burglary in progress.
The caller reported they were not on scene but were observing an unknown male suspect inside their residence on camera.
Upon arrival, officers observed a male suspect at the front of the residence who attempted to conceal himself behind a trailer.
The suspect, identified as Roger Allen Johnson, 57, of Pennsylvania, was taken into custody without incident.
Officers located a backpack containing a handgun, rifle and shotgun, which were removed from the residence by Johnson.
After consulting with the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office, Johnson was charged by criminal complaint and transported to Northampton County Prison.
Johnson faces charges including burglary, criminal trespass, three counts of theft by unlawful taking, three counts of receiving stolen property, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and loitering and prowling at nighttime.
