PRINCETON, MA — Police responded to a report of an intoxicated individual discharging a firearm from a residence on Hickory Drive on June 20, 2026.
Princeton Police Officer Robert Sargood responded to the scene at approximately 7:40 p.m.
Officer Sargood requested mutual aid due to the seriousness of the situation.
The Massachusetts State Police and officers from West Boylston, Sterling, Westminster, and Holden police departments provided assistance.
Officers safely established contact with the individual and resolved the incident without injury to the suspect, responding officers or members of the public.
A handgun and spent shell casings were recovered from the property during the investigation.
Officers checked nearby homes for evidence of bullet strikes or injuries, and none were found.
