PITTSBURGH, PA — A man was arrested in downtown Pittsburgh after being identified as the suspect in a stabbing that critically injured a passenger aboard a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus on May 2.
Police said Devante Clark, 31, of Pittsburgh, was taken into custody Wednesday by Port Authority detectives, with assistance from patrol officers.
Officers arrested Clark without incident after observing him enter a vehicle downtown.
Clark was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
He is charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
The incident occurred as the transit bus was traveling on the East Busway near Homewood Station.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was stabbed multiple times and remains in critical condition.
