ROTTERDAM, NY — A 26-year-old Schenectady man was injured shortly after 2 p.m. on June 11 when the dump truck he was driving overturned on the eastbound New York State Thruway between Exits 26 and 25A in Rotterdam, according to New York State Police.
Police said troopers assigned to SP Albany responded to the crash and determined the man, operating a 2011 International Harvester dump truck, lost control of the vehicle and it overturned.
Preliminary indications suggest the crash was caused by tire failure, police said.
The driver was taken to Albany Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The right lane was blocked for several hours while crews responded to the crash and recovered the vehicle.
