Two-vehicle crash reported in Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on High Street near Towne Avenue on May 22, 2026.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks were notified of the crash at approximately 7:51 a.m.

Police said Ebony Ann Mullen-Grant, 43, of Williamstown, was stopped in a 2019 RAM 1500 waiting to make a left turn from High Street onto Towne Avenue.

Andrew Buckley, 38, of Cabot, was traveling on High Street in a 1997 Ford F-250 when he attempted to stop but was unable to avoid colliding with Mullen-Grant’s vehicle, according to police.

The Ford struck the rear of the RAM, and both vehicles came to rest on High Street.

The Ford sustained major front-end damage, while the RAM sustained minor rear-end damage.

Both operators were wearing seat belts, and neither was injured.

The roadway was cleared and traffic resumed normal flow.

Plainfield EMS and Fire Department and East Montpelier EMS assisted at the scene.

Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
