EGG HARBOR CITY, NJ — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash at the intersection of Route 30 and New York Avenue on Sunday.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at approximately 5:58 p.m.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a motorcyclist traveling westbound on Route 30 was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
The motorcyclist, Alexander Oswald, 33, of Mullica Township, suffered fatal injuries.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle, Uriel Mendez-Martinez, 21, of Atlantic City, sustained injuries and was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.
Assisting agencies included the Mullica Township Police Department, the New Jersey State Police, the Egg Harbor City Fire Department, AtlantiCare EMS and the Galloway Township Ambulance Squad.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Crash Unit and the Egg Harbor City Police Department.
