MIDDLESEX, NY — Multiple boats caught fire early Thursday morning while in their hoists on the water.
Yates County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Middlesex Fire Department responded to Glenn Avenue at approximately 4:58 a.m. July 2 for a report of a boat fire.
Upon arrival, first responders found multiple boats engulfed in flames in their hoists on the water.
Middlesex Fire Department was able to control the fire.
The boats were not occupied at the time of the fire.
The fire investigation team responded to the scene.
Rushville Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
Deputy Middlebrook is the investigating officer.
