PITTSBURGH, PA — A man accused of pointing a gun at a woman and her infant child has been arrested by Allegheny County sheriff’s deputies.
Jermaine Strong, 20, of Pittsburgh, was taken into custody Thursday morning at a residence on Wymore Street in the Sheraden neighborhood.
Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus said Strong was declared a fugitive earlier this month when a bench warrant was issued for a probation violation connected to a 2024 guilty plea to a single count of robbery.
Strong also has an active warrant from the City of Pittsburgh charging him with pointing a gun at and threatening a woman and her infant child as they stood on a street in downtown Pittsburgh.
Detectives developed information this week that Strong was inside the Wymore Street residence.
Deputies arrived at the home Thursday morning and announced their presence before taking Strong into custody without incident.
Strong was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
