Man arrested on contempt charge in Penn Yan

PENN YAN, NY — A Dundee man was arrested following a traffic stop on Brown Street.

Jacob D. Catlin, 36, of Dundee, was found to be in the presence of a subject who he has an active stay away order of protection against, according to Penn Yan Police.

Catlin was taken into custody without incident and transported to the police department for processing.

He was later transported to the Yates County Jail to await Centralized Arraignment on a charge of second-degree criminal contempt.

Additional charges are pending.
