Arrest warrant issued for woman in Woodbury shoplifting case

WOODBURY, CT — The Woodbury Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for a Waterbury woman following a nearly year-long investigation into a grocery store shoplifting incident.

The suspect has been identified as Heather Birdsall of Waterbury.

The investigation began on May 24, when management at LaBonne’s Market in Woodbury reported a shoplifting complaint involving a significant theft of groceries.

Following months of follow-up investigations and collaborative assistance from the Waterbury Police Department, Woodbury officers identified Birdsall as the suspect.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Birdsall.
