SYRACUSE, NY — New York State Police arrested two men on drug and weapons charges following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on May 15, 2026.
State Police executed the warrant at a Schiller Avenue residence at approximately 5 a.m. after a month-long joint investigation with the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The warrant was executed by members of the New York State Police Troop D Community Stabilization Unit, Special Operations Response Team, Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, and the ATF.
Upon entry of the residence, investigators located and arrested two subjects.
A search of the residence revealed one loaded semi-automatic Glock handgun, one loaded semi-automatic Taurus handgun, a plastic bag containing loose ammunition, three knotted plastic bags containing cocaine with an approximate aggregate weight in excess of four ounces, one pill bottle containing liquid methadone, numerous suboxone sublingual films and pills, narcotics packaging materials and one digital scale with cocaine residue.
State Police arrested Robert A. Jackson, 32, of Syracuse, and charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, narcotic drug, four ounces or more; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, intent to sell; criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, loaded firearm; criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, previous conviction; two counts of criminal possession of a firearm; two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree; two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree; and three counts of possession of a controlled substance in a non-original container.
State Police arrested Malcome L. Baker, 31, of Syracuse, and charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, narcotic drug, four ounces or more; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, intent to sell; criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, loaded firearm; two counts of criminal possession of a firearm; two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree; two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree; and three counts of possession of a controlled substance in a non-original container.
Jackson and Baker were taken into custody without incident and transported to State Police North Syracuse for processing.
Both subjects were transported to Onondaga County Justice Center pending arraignment.
