JERUSALEM, NY — First responders were called to a residence on Benton Jerusalem Townline Road for a structure fire at 4:54 p.m. May 17.
The fire originated in a panel box inside the home.
The homeowner was able to contain the fire to the panel box before first responders arrived.
Four occupants were home at the time and safely exited the residence.
No injuries were reported.
Penn Yan Fire, Penn Yan Ambulance and the Office of Emergency Management responded to the scene along with the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
