WILLIAMSPORT, PA — A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Halloween night in 2025.
Vincent Baskerville was taken into custody Tuesday in the Harrisburg area by agents with the Williamsport Bureau of Police Criminal Investigations Unit.
Baskerville is accused of fatally shooting a 15-year-old male near the 600 block of First Avenue on Oct. 31, 2025.
Officers responded to the area of First Avenue and Park Place while investigating a nearby shooting incident when they received an emergency dispatch about a shooting victim.
Officers arrived and found the 15-year-old victim lying on the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his lower abdomen.
The victim was transported to UPMC Williamsport for emergency treatment but later died from his wounds.
The arrest was the result of an extensive investigation conducted by the Williamsport Bureau of Police Criminal Investigations Unit.
During the apprehension, investigators were assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service, the Dauphin County SWAT Team, and the Harrisburg Bureau of Police.
