VERSAILLES, PA — Police have filed charges against a man accused of robbing a credit union at gunpoint.

At 1:31 p.m. on May 8, Versailles Police were dispatched to the Century Heritage Federal Credit Union in the 4300 block of Walnut Street for a reported bank robbery.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit was requested and detectives initiated an investigation.

Detectives learned the male suspect entered the bank, gave a note to the victims demanding money, and pulled out a firearm.

The suspect threatened the victims with the firearm before taking an undisclosed amount of money and fleeing the scene.
