GENESEO, NY — A woman faces felony charges following a domestic incident in the Village of Geneseo.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the village at approximately 10:06 a.m. May 8 for a reported domestic incident.
Bonnie Montesano, 29, of Geneseo, allegedly got into a physical altercation with a male at the residence, according to Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty.
The alleged acts occurred while an active order of protection was in place protecting the male individual from Montesano, making the arrest a felony.
Deputy Cheyenne Masiello arrested Montesano and charged her with felony criminal contempt in the first degree and violation harassment in the second degree.
Montesano was transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
She was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the jail before Town of Conesus Justice Coyne.
The District Attorney’s Office recommended pre-trial release and the judge released Montesano on that recommendation with a return court date set for the Village of Geneseo Court.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Montesano at the arraignment.
