CORTLANDVILLE, NY — Two people were arrested early Saturday morning after a traffic stop on State Route 222 led to drug charges.
Julianna C. Greene, 47, of Dryden, was stopped at approximately 2:51 a.m. after officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office observed vehicle and traffic law violations.
During the traffic stop, Greene and her passenger, Christopher J. Frost, 48, of Groton, were found to be in possession of controlled substances, according to the sheriff’s office.
Greene was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate/no muffler.
Frost was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both were taken into custody at 3:39 a.m. and transported to the Public Safety Building for processing.
Greene and Frost were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Town of Cortlandville Court on June 1 at 1 p.m. for arraignment.
