EXETER, RI — A 41-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning following a motor vehicle accident investigation.
Matthew Cunningham, of Exeter, was arrested at 1:46 a.m. May 10 on charges of driving under the influence of liquor or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.
The arrest occurred on Bell Schoolhouse Road following a motor vehicle accident investigation, according to Rhode Island State Police.
Cunningham was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and arraigned.
He was released with a notice to appear in Fourth Division District Court.
