Man arrested on DUI charge in Bethel

BETHEL, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence after he allegedly struck a parked vehicle Friday night.

Troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to Main Street at approximately 8:28 p.m. following a report of a motorist striking a parked vehicle.

Police identified the operator as James Loura, 37, of South Royalton.

During the investigation, Loura displayed signs of impairment, according to police.

Loura was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.

He was issued a citation and released.
