Police seek man in Walmart theft in West Norriton Township

WEST NORRITON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who fled after stealing merchandise from Walmart on Monday.

West Norriton Township Police responded to the Walmart at 650 S. Trooper Road at 3:05 p.m. for a report of retail theft.

Loss prevention staff stopped a man who had taken $37 worth of merchandise, police said.

The man handed the items to loss prevention staff and then fled, according to police.

He was described as a Black male, approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 pounds, with dreadlocks and a beard.

He was wearing a black hoodie with white writing, black sweatpants, tan sneakers and a white T-shirt.

The man left in a white Hyundai Tucson SUV with a Georgia registration plate TEF-1569, police said.

The vehicle was last seen exiting onto S. Trooper Road.
