JAMESTOWN, NY — A man died three days after being stabbed in Jamestown, police said.
Officers responded to the area of Lakeview Avenue and East 8th Street at about 4:30 a.m. May 3, 2026, for a report of a stabbing victim.
Officers found an unresponsive victim with a stab wound.
The victim was transported to UPMC Chautauqua hospital and then flown to UPMC Hamot via STAT MedEvac for life-threatening injuries.
The victim died May 6, 2026, at UPMC Hamot from injuries sustained during the incident.
Police are withholding the victim’s name.
The incident remains under investigation.
