MIDDLETOWN, PA — Lower Swatara Township Police arrested a man on marijuana possession and public drunkenness charges after he was found lying across train tracks.
Alem Gezahe Fitiwe, 37, of Middletown, was arrested at West Harrisburg Pike and Meade Avenue.
Officers responded to a report of a man lying across the train tracks.
Upon arrival, officers observed Fitiwe showing signs of intoxication and smelling of an alcoholic beverage, according to police.
During a search incident to arrest, officers located marijuana on Fitiwe.
Police said Fitiwe acknowledged ownership of the marijuana, stating, “Yes…that is my weed.”
Fitiwe was charged with one count of possession of marijuana and one count of public drunkenness.
