Man arrested on weapons charges in Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY — A 23-year-old man faces multiple felony charges following a search warrant execution on Reed Street on May 7, 2026.

Kesean J. Fields, of Buffalo, was arrested by Troop A Community Stabilization Unit and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession Stolen Property 4th-Firearms, Criminal Possession Weapon 3rd-Ammunition Feeding Device and Criminal Sale of Firearm 3rd-Possess with intent to sell.

The arrest followed an investigation that began April 28, 2026, when Troop A Community Stabilization Unit executed a search warrant in Buffalo.

During that search warrant, a suspect was arrested and evidence of an illegal gun sale was linked to Fields, according to police.

On May 7, 2026, Troop A Community Stabilization Unit, Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, Buffalo Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a search warrant on Reed Street.

Fields was detained in the residence during the search warrant execution.

Police determined Fields possessed a stolen Taurus 9mm with an extended magazine that was stolen from Fairburn, Georgia.

Two additional firearms were seized: a Sig Sauer 9mm with three extended magazines and a Ruger .22 wrangler.

Fields was processed at State Police Buffalo and transported to Buffalo Police Department Lockup for Centralized Arraignment.
