Man arrested on drug charges in Endicott

ENDICOTT, NY — A 42-year-old man faces multiple drug charges following a traffic stop on May 5, 2026.

Dale L. Chapman of Endicott was arrested at approximately 12:47 p.m. by members of the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit.

Chapman was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 2nd degree, a class A-II felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony; criminal sale of controlled substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a misdemeanor; and three counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors.

On May 4, 2026, a member of the New York State Police observed Chapman conduct an illegal narcotics sale.

On May 5, troopers initiated a traffic stop on East Main Street in the village of Endicott after observing vehicle and traffic law violations.

An investigation resulted in the seizure of approximately 3 grams of individually wrapped crack cocaine, approximately 5.9 ounces of cocaine, approximately 1 ounce of psilocybin mushrooms, packaging material, scales, cutting agent and U.S. currency.

The Community Stabilization Unit was assisted by members of the Violet Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, Special Investigations Unit and the Endicott Village Police Department.

Chapman was processed and turned over to the Broome County Jail for centralized arraignment.
