LAGRANGE, NY — A New York City woman was arrested April 30, 2026, on charges of unauthorized practice of a profession and prostitution following an investigation at a local spa.
Bongseon Choi, 59, of New York, was taken into custody by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Poughkeepsie.
Choi faces one count of unauthorized practice of a profession, a class E felony, and one count of prostitution, a class B misdemeanor.
The investigation began March 4, 2026, after police received complaints of prostitution occurring at New Kang Spa, located at 1151 Route 55 in the town of LaGrange.
Choi was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of LaGrange Court on May 19, 2026.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office assisted the New York State Police in the investigation.
