TOWNSHEND, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on VT-30 near State Forest Road on May 4, 2026.
Troopers from the Westminster Barracks responded to the scene at approximately 11:01 a.m. after receiving a report of the crash.
The operator was identified as Sean P. Meagher, 58, of Townshend.
Police said Meagher veered off the traveled portion of the roadway and struck a walking bridge at the Kindle Farm School, causing damage to the structure.
His 2018 Toyota RAV4 sustained front-end damage.
Meagher was transported to Grace Cottage Hospital for suspected minor injuries.
He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to police.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the incident.
Townshend Fire Department and Rescue Inc. responded to the scene.
The vehicle was removed by Scott Brooks Towing.
