DEERING, NH — A Francestown man faces negligent homicide and aggravated DUI charges following a fatal crash that killed a 75-year-old woman.
The Hillsboro Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 149 at approximately 4:37 p.m. May 1, 2026, along with Hillsboro Fire and Rescue.
Preliminary investigation indicates a black Audi traveling south, driven by Henry Proctor, 35, of Francestown, left the roadway, rolled over and struck Matilde Mejia, 75, who was standing at the end of her driveway.
Mejia was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Proctor was transported to Concord Hospital with unknown injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
