EASTCHESTER, NY — A Yonkers man has been arrested after police say he approached and solicited strangers for sex on two separate occasions last week.
Christos G. Oommen, 20, was charged Monday with two counts of stalking in the fourth degree.
Police said they received complaints on Friday and Sunday about an unknown male approaching and soliciting adult females for sex.
In both incidents, the male was driving a black Hyundai Elantra with New York license plate LZE 1755, according to police.
The first incident occurred in the Bronxville Manor neighborhood, and police believe the male had followed the complainant from a different location.
The second incident occurred on Leewood Drive.
Patrol officers and detectives identified Oommen as the suspect during their investigation.
Police said similar incidents had occurred in neighboring jurisdictions.
Oommen is scheduled to appear in Eastchester Town Court on May 6.
