ST. JOHNSBURY, VT — A 29-year-old man was arrested after police found him sleeping on a park bench during hours he was required to be at home under court-ordered conditions.
Officers with the St. Johnsbury Police Department were dispatched to Fred Mold Park at approximately 7:07 p.m. April 27, 2026, for a report of two individuals passed out on a park bench.
Upon arrival, officers located two individuals identified as Cheyenne Spreadbury and Cody Heath-Largy, both of St. Johnsbury.
Both individuals appeared to be asleep on the bench.
When awakened, both stated they had not taken any substances and were just tired.
Drug paraphernalia, including a bong, was observed in the immediate area.
Through prior law enforcement interactions, officers knew that Heath-Largy was subject to active court-ordered conditions of release, including a curfew requiring him to remain at his residence between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Heath-Largy was in violation of these conditions by being present at the park during curfew hours.
Heath-Largy was arrested on a charge of violation of conditions of release.
