LANCASTER, PA — Emergency personnel responded Monday morning to a two-vehicle crash on Route 283 East near Route 741 that blocked both eastbound lanes.
Police said the crash occurred around 5:39 a.m.
According to the investigation, an eastbound Subaru Outback swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway and struck an unoccupied Mercedes-Benz parked on the highway shoulder.
The driver of the Subaru, who was the only occupant, was not injured.
No other injuries were reported.
Route 283 East remained closed until about 7:30 a.m.
Authorities said the investigation is complete and no traffic violations were found.
