Jewelry store robbed in Wethersfield

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Three masked suspects robbed a jewelry store Friday evening, smashing display cases and fleeing with numerous items.

Officers responded to Kay Jewelers at 1055 Silas Deane Highway at approximately 6 p.m. for a report of an active larceny.

The three male suspects were wearing masks and all black clothing when they entered the business.

The suspects used a hammer to smash several glass panels before stealing numerous jewelry items.

The suspects fled in a black Hyundai Elantra with dark tinted windows and no license plate.

There were no threats of violence and no injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
