HARTFORD, CT — Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday night.
Hartford Police patrol officers were dispatched to the area of 15 Allen Place at approximately 9:45 p.m. on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive victim of gunfire in the roadway.
The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The victim has been identified as Christopher Shannon, 42, of Hartford.
The Hartford Police Department Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions have assumed the investigation.
