PENN YAN, NY — A 20-year-old man turned himself in to authorities on an active warrant March 10.
Mathew Kennedy-Brewer, of Dundee, surrendered at the Yates County Public Safety Building at 227 Main Street around 9:05 a.m.
The warrant was issued by Yates County Superior Court following an investigation by the Village of Penn Yan Police Department and the Yates County Sheriff’s Office into alleged offenses that occurred in the villages of Penn Yan and Dundee in 2025.
Kennedy-Brewer faces three counts of criminal sex act in the second degree, a class D felony.
He is being held in the Yates County Jail until the next available session of County Court.
