FAIR HAVEN, VT — A New York man was arrested following an investigation into a sexual misconduct complaint.
Jeffrey M. Zakrzewski, 55, of Gansevoort, New York, was arrested Sunday and charged with lewd and lascivious conduct.
Police were called to Maple Street at 5:35 p.m. on Feb. 10 for a report of a male in a vehicle masturbating.
Through investigation, police learned Zakrzewski allegedly drove past a house on Maple Street and stopped.
Zakrzewski then allegedly observed the victim in the window and stopped and backed up.
The victim reported they could see the male masturbating while looking at them before driving away.
The victim was able to provide a description and plate number of the vehicle.
A short time later on the same date, a similar incident occurred in the Village of Whitehall, New York, involving the same vehicle.
On Feb. 23, Zakrzewski was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for the second incident.
When police made contact with Zakrzewski, he agreed to turn himself in to police.
Zakrzewski was arrested and released on a citation to appear in Rutland District Court at a future date.
