GREECE, NY — A driver died after crashing into fuel pumps at a gas station early Friday morning.
Officers from the Greece Police Department responded to a reported motor vehicle crash with a person trapped at the KwikFill gas station located at 3400 West Ridge Road at approximately 3:05 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers observed a vehicle that had struck multiple fuel pumps and support pillars beneath the gas station canopy.
The vehicle caused significant damage to several gas pumps and the canopy structure before coming to rest against a concrete support pole.
Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene, and the sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported.
The Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and took custody of the victim.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
The crash remains under investigation by the Greece Police Department.
