JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly striking someone at a homeless shelter.
Officers responded to the ROME Warming Shelter at 917 Washington Street at approximately 12:48 a.m. March 3 for a report of an unwanted male subject.
Police made contact with James G. Hall, 46, of Jamestown, who was identified as the individual in question.
During the investigation, officers determined Hall had struck a victim inside the shelter.
Hall was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
During a search incident to arrest, officers located a quantity of methamphetamine on his person.
Hall has been charged with harassment in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
He is being held pending arraignment.
