JAMESTOWN, NY — Police arrested three juveniles early Sunday after a foot chase that led to the discovery of a loaded firearm and methamphetamine.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon conducted a street check of five juveniles under 16 years old in the area of North Main Street and East Fourth Street around 4 a.m. Feb. 16.
All five juveniles fled on foot when officers made contact, according to police.
Officers caught one juvenile who was found in possession of a loaded firearm and a quantity of methamphetamine.
Two more juveniles were later located on the city’s west side.
Police discovered all three juveniles were supposed to be at the same location under parental supervision.
The three juveniles were transported to the Jamestown Police Department Juvenile Bureau for holding.
Parents were contacted and all three juveniles were released to their parents.
The parent who was supposed to be supervising the juveniles was cited for three curfew violations.
Two juveniles remain at large.
