PENN YAN, NY — A 31-year-old woman faces a harassment charge following an incident at an official proceeding.
Cassie E. Mervis was charged with second-degree harassment, a violation, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred Sunday in the village of Penn Yan.
Authorities said the charge stems from a complaint alleging the harassment of an advocate while at an official proceeding.
Mervis was issued a criminal summons to appear in Penn Yan Village Court.
Deputy Hansen and Investigator Breuer responded to the scene.
