PLATTSBURGH, NY — New York State Police charged Nyciah A. Beasley, 27, of Plattsburgh, with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree on February 8, 2026.
State Police were notified of a domestic dispute at a residence on Cross Road in the town of Plattsburgh at approximately 5:46 p.m. on February 7, 2026.
An investigation determined that Beasley and the victim were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into physical violence.
Beasley struck the victim in the face and chest, then grabbed the victim’s neck, making it difficult to breathe, police said.
The victim was able to push Beasley away, and Beasley left the residence.
While away from the residence, Beasley continued to contact the victim via phone and text, making threatening remarks despite being instructed to stop, according to police.
Beasley was subsequently located, arrested, and transported to the State Police in Plattsburgh for processing.
He was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court and later released.
